Arlington, Texas Selects 3Di Community for Policing Project

What the problems were

The City of Arlington was seeking a smartphone/mobile application for the City’s Action Center, preferably a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. The Action Center provides residents avenues to report issues via phone calls and web submissions. These methods were limited. Of these two methods, phone calls were the only interactive communication option for residents at that time. Residents and staff needed a modern mobile application as an additional method of interacting with Action Center.

How we solved them

3Di proposed its Civic Application Platform (CAP). The robust solution has capabilities of accessing reference materials, shift reports, getting real time updates from CAD display and CAD call/text information. It can also compose and send broadcast messages in accordance with user permissions via: Email, Text Messages and Instant Messaging platform with the mobility application. CAP is designed to fit mobile devices of different screen resolution.

What this meant to the community policing project is that they had a technology solution that improved communication and customer satisfaction which is now making their Community Policing Project more successful.
